This convenient touch-switch module is feature packed to enable a quick touch-switch solution for your project.

Using the configuration solder-pads, the device can be configured to either act as a momentary switch (i.e. the output is active for as long as the finger is on the pad), or as a latching toggle switch (press to turn on, press again to turn off).

As supplied, the module acts as a momentary switch. Simply connect the 2 solder pads marked 'A' with a blob of solder in order to turn this module into a latching switch.

To convert the output from the default active-high mode to active-low, bridge the two pads marked 'B'

The output pin can be connected to the input of a microcontroller, or drive a small LED directly. To drive a relay, a transistor and some resistors need to be added (see the links for more info) or you can use one of our Gringo Gadget relay modules and drive those directly from this switch module.
