Infrared Obstacle Sensor
Easy-to-use obstacle / proximity sensor module. Simply supply 5 volts (brown wire), and ground (blue) to the module; the built-in LED and the black output wire indicate the presence of an object in the path. The output signal is active low: If an object is present, the output is LOW. When the path is clear, the output floats high.
Note that the output is NPN open-collector. That means that if the If connected to a microcontroller input, use an external pull-up resistor to 5V, or enable the MCU's internal pull-up.
